Our first summer has been HOT HOT HOT! The good news is, our chamomile and calendula seem to love the heat. We’ve been harvesting about twice a week. The kids have been instrumental in our chamomile harvest and we’ve already enjoyed a few cups of tea!

In addition to our tea garden, our native prairie flowers and grasses have been showing up in a big way! Brown-eyed susans are in full bloom which looks beautiful with the big blue-stem grasses. We have a team of interns out at the farm this week (mid-July) collecting data on which of our native plants are growing and how heavy the weed pressure is. We can’t wait to see the results!
