Spring has arrived!

Everything is turning green… seeds and weeds included. Tree planting group

In late April, we celebrated Earth Day by hosting a tree planting at the farm. We planted over 60 saplings with the helps of family and friends!

Our new drone is set up and already providing unique views of the farm.
Garden area
The garden is starting to come together. We are using weed cover to make planting and weeding easier this year. We’ve already learned that the soil in the garden area is solid clay so we’ve begun to add compost to enhance the soil to increase the survival rate of our seedlings.

Here are some of our transplants from home. So far, we’ve planted:

🌸Zinnias
🌻Sunflowers
🌺Coreopsis
🌼Marigolds
🌿Echinacea

🌺Bee Balm
🌼Yarrow
🌿Calendula

🍿popcorn
🎃pumpkin
🍉watermelon
🍈cantaloupe

Our baby lavender and chamomile are still growing indoors but will be ready to transplant soon.
